For the Midtown Regeneration project, Auckland Council enlisted our expertise to provide a comprehensive set of services aimed at optimizing the overall project landscape. Our responsibilities included offering a holistic services overview across multiple projects, namely THN, the Wellesley Street bus project, Watercare WW relocation, and CRL. By having a wider utility perspective, we identified risks, issues, opportunities, and overlaps between these diverse projects. Additionally, we advised projects on challenging utility companies with alternative design options, potential betterment, and future-proofing considerations when the program allowed. We meticulously identified potential overlaps or efficiencies in designs across different areas and developed a separate utility program for all Midtown works, highlighting links and dependencies between individual projects. Our support extended to providing expert knowledge on utility relocations to accelerate the program delivery timeframe, a critical aspect of the overall success of the Midtown Regeneration program.
